Originally developed by DuPont™ in the 1960s – the company that also produced innovations such as Kevlar, Lycra and Neoprene – Corian® set new standards for high-quality surfaces from the outset. The goal was to create a material that is both aesthetically pleasing and extremely durable – a claim that remains valid to this day.
What once began as an exclusive solution for luxurious kitchens can now be found in a wide variety of areas: in private living spaces, upscale restaurants, hospitals, hotels, and even as facade cladding.
Mivora Art goes one step further: We transform Corian® into custom-made design solutions – from seamless washbasins, elegant shower trays and freestanding bathtubs to exclusive counters for gastronomy and representative kitchen workstations.

Corian® consists of a unique blend: Approximately two-thirds finely ground natural minerals and stones combine with one-third transparent acrylic resin to create a surface that is visually and tactilely appealing. The result is a sophisticated, velvety-smooth material that can be shaped into almost any form – perfect for creative, custom-designed solutions.
Through continuous development, Corian® has maintained its leading position in the field of luxury surface materials for decades. While the original patent expired over 30 years ago, creating space for alternatives such as Krion or Himacs, no other mineral material combines processing quality, durability, and timeless elegance as uncompromisingly as Corian®.

All these properties make Corian® a sustainable material. Colored Corian®, in particular, is responsibly manufactured with a 20% recycled material content. Furthermore, it can be easily repaired, often making replacement unnecessary. Even at the end of its use, Corian® is not at the end of its lifespan – it can be refinished or recycled into new products.
Colors & Surfaces of Corian®
Corian® Glacier White is the classic – the first and arguably best-known color of the material. Today, however, the palette offers an almost limitless selection: from soft taupe and earth tones to fresh, vibrant shades like sunny citrus. This creates a perfectly coordinated bathroom furnishing set for every project.
But Corian® can do more than just solid colors: Elegant veining reminiscent of marble or granite, as well as fascinating translucent effects like onyx, are also possible. Depending on the desired look, the surface can be polished, satin-finished, or matte.
All colors and patterns are worked through the entire material thickness – not just superficially. This ensures that they retain their beauty and color strength even with years of use, even under hot water or intense sunlight.
